I have reviewed this place once before and I didn't think it was possible to give them a better score than what I already have given (5Stars) but there needs to another few stars added or for that matter a rating that says S.Y.M. GOOD...if you know , you know. This food got even better and that should be a crime . I love this place and the staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is great and the food is well i think you already know. Please, please, please, do your taste buds a favor and eat here.

Was in the area on business and sawv this place was getting good reviews. By the time we got in (around 630 pm) they had sold out of several of the meat options. The staff told us this is fairly common due to the popularity and that now that there's multiple locations the meat is smoked at a central point and then delivered to them for the day, so once they're out of something, they're out. We did get some pork, some chicken, some wings, and mac n cheese. Everything was really good. Nice sized portions, wings were really good, nice variety of sauces. Very rustic dining experience, nice sized open patio when the weather is nice. I would definitely try to get back closer to open to try some of the other meat options.

Excellent! Super friendly staff- greeted immediately- offered selections. Everything looked Awesome! These fried wings- with dry rub 5/5! Mac n cheese and broccoli salad outstanding! Banana dessert - omg great!!! Always coming back here. Consistently excellent food and service. Very clean. I’m a tough but honest reviewer. This is a not to miss!

If you're in Norfolk, treat yourself to some great BBQ at Redwood Smoke Shack. I was lucky enough to order my Burnt Ends Beef Brisket right at the moment it was taken out of the smoker. I can't begin to describe to you how tender the brisket was as it literally melted in my mouth. If you're a lover of a nice charred crust on your meat, order this! The side of Mac and Cheese and Cilantro Slaw was perfection. Try a Big Red if you love soda with your bbq. Highly recommend eating here.

This place is FANTASTIC!! Easy and fast to order. The food is simply amazing! We've loved everything we've tried. Best BBQ! Just wish they'd open up a spot on the other side of the HRBT!

Hands down the best local barbecue spot. We’ve tried just about everything from them and nothing disappoints. That jalapeno cheddar sausage is an absolute must try! We moved here a year ago and happy we found our local bbq spot! The meats are tender and flavorful and that house bbq is better than anything you’ll buy in store. I’m a sucker for sides and they a good variety of them. Try it all! You won’t regret it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, it stands out as the best BBQ spot in the area. Upon entering, I was greeted by a unique service area reminiscent of a deli, where you can select your preferred type of meat and sides. I opted for the brisket, corn pudding, and mac and cheese, and I was thoroughly impressed. The brisket here is nothing short of exceptional; they offer you the choice between lean and moist cuts, which is a true mark of a quality BBQ establishment. I chose the moist brisket, and it was thick, juicy, and bursting with flavor—definitely a highlight of my meal! The mac and cheese was wonderfully satisfying, creamy, and rich, while the corn pudding was a delightful surprise, perfectly complementing the main dish. Overall, I had an outstanding experience, and I can’t wait to return for another delicious meal.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Hands down the best BBQ in the 757 and 100% Texas style. We had the brisket, beef burnt ends, ribs, wings, collards, Mac n cheese, smoked baked beans and the pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese on it. Everything was perfect. Fast service. Friendly staff. Their house made vinegar sauce is packed with flavour. Highly recommend!
